Audience in the Smoking Room.
Originally, my friend Sky commissioned me to sketch something and I asked her for three words to work from. They were 'industrial', 'emperor' and 'fist'. Somehow, this scenario was the result.
The original was markers and ink on coloured paper, but I've been challenging myself to paint more full scenes lately. This image size doesn't quite do it justice, so here's a big fat blow-up...
